Idealpos supports the facility to offer Refunds and Credit Notes.
Refunds are used to put stock items that have previously been sold, and returned for any number of reasons, back into stock to be controlled, either by way of writing them off or reselling them.
Credit Notes are used for giving customers who have made a purchase, but instead of giving them a tender refund, they receive a credit note to the value of the returned goods to spend in your store. This is commonly called an Exchange or Store Credit.
If item/s the customer is returning were purchased at a full price but are now included in a promotion, it is a good idea to make sure that promotions are turned off for the refund to be calculated correctly.
